What a coincidence this topic was bumped while I was searching the net for answers to a problem I'm having with the ESR patcher. Anyway, I'm coming up empty handed so I guess I'll ask here.I'm trying to patch CD based games that are in the BIN+CUE format, namely Gigawing Generations and the Strikers 1945 pack. ESR allows you to patch BIN files, but I'm getting the 'No UDF Descriptor' every time. I've tried mounting them on a virtual drive and re-ripping as ISOs, but no luck. I get the same error. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Flak Beard wrote:Wow.
CD Based Game To DVD For Use With ESR Sony Playstation 2: General Tutorials, Lists and FAQs How To Convert A Playstation 2 CD Based Game To DVD For Use With ESR How to convert a CD game to DVD Posted what is a udf descriptor by Smashey9 View Profile Message User Thank User 4 years ago How To Convert a Playstation add udf descriptor to iso 2 CD. I’ve tried converting these to iso format then patch, with no luck. I get the “No UDF descriptor” message when trying to patch. Is there a detailed guide on how to do this? I typically use imgburn but have used alcohol 120%. When I patch and burn the iso files, I just put the disc in and start the ps2 and the games load great.

Obviously ESR, being an exploit based on video DVDs, cannot work with CDs. Seek out tutorials to convert those CD based games to DVD images first. People have done this with Half-Life for PS2. Not every game can do this. Ramatut4001 wrote:What do I need to copy an iso over my network to my fat PS2 with HDloader?Seems like a dumb question, but I've been searching and can't find anything.
It's a hard thing to google because the word 'network' pops up every result with network adapter, etc. Mozgus or anyone able to post a link or otherwise point me in the right direction? Thanks.Because its easier than having to pull the drive out, and install it in your pc every time you want a new game. It should be obvious. Also you dont want to just rip games to the drive using the PS2 itself. There's a ton of games that won't work with that method.
